TerceiraTours is a premier tour company designed to offer visitors a truly unique and immersive experience on Terceira Island. Our mission is to go beyond the typical tourist attractions, focusing on authentic connections with the island’s culture, people, and environment.

We embrace the “Slow Travel” philosophy and have introduced our signature “Slow Tours” to promote deeper, more meaningful travel experiences. The “Slow Tours” concept allows visitors to engage with Terceira Island at a relaxed pace, emphasizing genuine interactions with the local community, indulging in traditional cuisine, exploring untouched nature, and enjoying the island’s rich musical heritage.

At the same time, we are committed to preserving the sustainability of Terceira Island, ensuring that both our community and the natural environment thrive for generations to come.

About the founder

Ivo Silva, born and raised on the stunning Terceira Island, is the founder of Terceira Tours.

Ivo’s career in tourism began in 2010, where he gained valuable experience working in the Caribbean with renowned companies within the Iberostar and Hard Rock Hotel resorts. This period helped him develop a deep understanding of high-quality hospitality and customer service.

Despite his international experience, Ivo’s true passion has always been Terceira Island. The captivating beauty of this island in the heart of the Atlantic eventually brought him back home, where he decided to pursue his dream of creating a business that would allow him to share the island’s unique charm with visitors.

Founding Terceira Tours marked the fulfillment of that dream. Today, Ivo takes pride in revealing the hidden gems and breathtaking landscapes of Terceira Island, offering unforgettable experiences to every visitor.

Sustainability and Social Responsibility

Terceira Tours is focused on creating and maximizing long-term economic, social and environmental value.

What we do:

All our clientes get a tap aluminum water bottle

If we find garbage in our tours, we pick it up and recycle it.

We reduce to a minimum the usage of paper.

Clients can check in with us using a digital voucher.

We avoid going where others go. We don´t want to be part of mass tourism.

We involve local residents and communities in our tours planning

In our tours, we rotate restaurants where we take our travelers to lunch. This way, money goes to several restaurants and not to one only.

Terceira Tours highly discourage our travelers to pick, sand, rocks, etc as souvenirs.

We donate an amount per ticket sold on our tours to the NGO Marine Waste Terceira Island.
